Organized by the Information Systems Research Group, BPM 2008 is the sixth conference in a series that provides the most distinguished specialized forum for researchers and practitioners in Business Process Management. BPM 2008 will be held from 1-4 September 2008 in Milan, Italy and is organised by the Information Systems Research Group of the Department of Electronics and Information of Politecnico di Milano. |

| Conference Aims and Objectives The BPM 2008 conference provides a forum for presentation and exchange of research results and practical experiences within the field of Business Process Management. As in previous years, the programme will feature invited talks, tutorials, paper sessions, workshops and panel discussions. The BPM conference also aims at bridging the viewpoints of leading research outcomes with practical demands. In addition to the main research track, BPM 2008 will include an industrial papers track. Awards will be given to the best papers in different categories. In addition, authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their paper to a special issue of Data and Knowledge Engineering (DKE, an Elsevier Science Journal).

| Conference Themes The BPM 2008 conference aims at publishing papers about the following themes: business process modelling and analysis (including configuration, mining, patterns, etc), process support (from verification and validation to performace analysis and enactment in applications such as ERP, CRM, SCM), and service-oriented architectures. Discounted prices are available to Students (proof of student status may be requested) and Assolombarda members. Authors presenting multiple accepted papers are not required to pay multiple registration fees. You can move without any additional cost a registration from one participant to another. A fee of 50 euros will apply to cancellations. Conference registration fees include: * Admission to conference on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday * Copy of the conference proceedings and Workshops pre-proceedings CD * Coffee breaks and lunch during the conference * Welcome reception on Monday evening * Conference dinner on Wednesday (students fee does not include ticket) Workshop registration fees include: * Admission to any workshop on Monday * Copy of workshop pre-proceedings * Coffee breaks and lunch on Monday * Welcome reception on Monday Dinner extra ticket costs 60 EUR. |
